Legal Admin Assistant

Virginia Beach Law firm with an office in Newport News is looking for admin assistants with legal experience:

Newport News Office: Part time legal admin assistant

Hours are 9 am – 5:30 pm Monday and Wednesday, Friday 9 am – 4 pm

Virginia Beach Office: Full-time legal admin assistant

Hours: 8:00 AM to possibly as late as 6:00 PM, lunch ½ to 1 hour

Requirements & Duties:

2 years minimum legal experience required

Document review, calendaring, meeting with clients and case management. Data entry and typing court documents as needed. Typing min 45-wpm. Proficient MS Word-Excel-Outlook

Electrical manufacturer and distribution company in need of an experienced data entry/logistics specialist to start immediately. Duties include but are not limited to: contacting vendors, inputting data for expediting requests and purchase orders, calculating prices and researching issues, maintain records & track shipments, inputting purchase orders into system, auditing expense report, etc.

Requirements:

  • Must have Strong Word, Excel, Outlook, typing of 40 wpm and data entry of 7500 minimum, good time management skills
  • 2+ years of office admin experience. (please no call center or customer service).

Admin Assistant

Chesapeake shipyard in need of experienced admin for the contracts department. Multifaceted administrative duties. Extensive interaction with military ship personnel, vendors, company and other employees. Will update and distribute contracts and policies to other departments and perform additional admin duties as needed. Must have excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with individuals in positions of authority. Must be a US Citizen.

Requirements:

  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
  • Have 2+ years office Admin experience in a shipyard or ship repair environment. (please no firewatch or skilled trade)
  • Must also pass a background check and drug testing for consideration.

Location: South Norfolk area

Hours: 7 AM – 4 PM.
