The right candidate must have minimum of 6 years experience in shipboard repair including management of technical personnel, as well as 3 to 5 Project Managers or Assistant Project Managers; must be competent in ability to maintain overall responsibility of project budgets and schedules to ensure project completion on-time and on schedule. Must experience/knowledge of Cost Type or Fixed Type contracts and must be able to pass a Rapid Gate background check and qualify for a Security Clearance.
Ensure all project information being provided by customers is forwarded to all departments within the company and ensure that all project data and information is regularly entered into the appropriate management data systems for internal reviews.
Implement project management processes and tools by contributing to the process and providing guidelines to support the project. Assist the Planning Department in developing project proposals, job estimates, and schedules.
Delegate responsibilities between the Assistant Project Managers assigned directly to the Project Manager by contributing input to Senior Leadership as recommendation to the makeup of the Project Team.
Must be able to assemble, plan, lead, and facilitate regular cross-functional Project Team meetings with company personnel, sub contractors, and representative from clients and the U.S. Navy.
Develop detailed task list, work effort assessment, including short and long-term resource allocation plans based on input to Senior Managers and Team Members. Identify, assess and analyze with the team any risk or issues that may compromise the completion of project. Develop plans and actions to resolve risk/issues.
Hours and salary are not yet determined. Salary is computed based on experience, qualifications/skills, and education.
