Successful distribution company is seeking a Human Resources Manager to evaluate manpower needs as requested and recruit internal and external employees for open positions. Orient new employees, communicate and implement Human Resources policies and procedures, assist with employee counseling and legal matters as requested. Develop and implement local personnel policies within company guidelines. Maintain plant job descriptions and classifications. Ensure timely performance reviews.
Develop and prepare departmental budget data, assure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws. Administer unemployment and workers compensation processes and claims; plant non-exempt salary program, payroll and payroll processing, and local wage and benefit surveys to ensure competitiveness.
Manage and communicate benefits program and Educational Assistant Program, employee relations, training, and other HR assigned responsibilities.
Ideal candidate must have: at least a BA plus HR certification or comparable working experience, good Word, Excel and Outlook. Working knowledge of various HRIS programs.
Located in Virginia Beach
Monday –Friday flex hours (8 hour shift between the hours of 5:30am-6:30pm)
