Local environmental services company looking for a Financial Accountant with government contracting experience. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for all administrative, financial and risk management operations, with responsibilities including development of a financial and operational strategy, develop and monitor metrics, preservation of company assets, and accurate financial reporting. Duties to include, but not limited to, preparing financial statements, maintaining cash controls, purchasing, maintaining AP and AR, managing the Finance Department, invoice preparation, manage accounting and business operation taxes, long term planning and oversight, job costing analysis, month-end and year-end closeouts, negotiate acquisitions, forecasting and budgeting, prepare reports for GSA and Workman’s Comp audits, and other duties as assigned. 5+ years strong experience, strongly prefer government contracting experience. Bachelors in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent experience required. MBA in Finance, CPA or CMA a big plus. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and QuickBooks.
